Opel and ADAC are further expanding their support for young talent in German rallying.

In addition to the internationally successful Corsa Rally4 and the brand-new Mokka GSE Rally, which will set new standards in electric rallying from next season, the Rüsselsheim-based car manufacturer now offers the perfect entry-level vehicle.

The Opel Corsa Rally6 has been deliberately kept close to the production model, which reduces costs and makes the vehicle easier to handle. The smart rally car rolls on steel rims and standard tires. The front-wheel drive vehicle weighs around 1050 kg and is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 107 kW (145 hp) at 4500 rpm and maximum torque of 240 Nm at 1750 rpm. Power is transmitted via a 6-speed manual transmission. All electronic driving aids such as ABS, traction control and ESP are deactivated. The chassis and safety features, such as the Corsa Rally4 multi-point roll cage and racing seats with integrated headrests, meet the highest rally standards.

The new rally car is primarily aimed at beginners who want to take their first steps in rallying. To this end, the ADAC will be launching the ADAC Rally Junior Cup in 2026. This will be contested exclusively with Opel Corsa Rally6 cars. The target group is talented German rally drivers aged between 17 and 24. Eight to nine events are planned for 2026 as part of the German Rally Championship (DRM), the German Rally Challenge (DRC), and other Rally 70 competitions. The schedule will be announced at a later date.

Opel and ADAC are also showing the young participants effective opportunities for advancement. A sensible step after the "apprenticeship" in the ADAC Rally Junior Cup is to enter the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup "powered by GSE," which will be held starting next season with the new 280 hp Mokka GSE Rally. The winner of the world's first electric rally brand trophy will then automatically join the ADAC Opel Rally Junior Team and compete in an international program in the Corsa Rally4 the following year.

The ADAC Rally Junior Cup is the first step in an effective development pyramid that is unique in this form. A young rally driver has the chance to work their way up from the grassroots level to the Junior European Championship with Opel and ADAC. Opel and ADAC are working hard to promote German rallying in the long term."
